Fortnite orange circle explained
The orange circle in Fortnite seen on the map in-game indicates the location of a player who holds a Society Medallion. The more medallions a player holds, the smaller the circle becomes, giving a more accurate representation of where the player is on the map.
These Society Medallions are new items in Chapter 5 Season 1 that provide the ability to recharge your shields over time. You can get these Medallions by defeating different bosses on the Fortnite Chapter 5 map.
While this is a nice perk, the downside is that you are marked on the map. The effects stack, meaning the more medallions you have the faster your shield will regenerate, however, with each medallion the circle gets smaller.
