Epic Games unvaulted the Grapple Glove once again in Fortnite OG, and players can get it around the island. Here’s how you can get your hands on the Grapple Glove in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5.
Fortnite features a variety of fun mechanics that players can try out, such as the iconic Spider-Man’s Mythic Web Shooters. But even without Spider-Man around for a Fortnite event, players loved the mechanic that allowed them to swing around the map.
In order to give them this possibility, Epic Games introduced the Grapple Glove, which allows players to swing between trees and buildings. Now, with the November 9 update of Fortnite OG, the Grapple Glove is back for players to swing around the island.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Grapple Glove in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5, including where to get it.

The Grapple Glove is back in Fortnite OG.
Where to find Grapple Glove in Fortnite OG
Fortnite players could only get the Grapple Glove in both Chests and Floor Loot in Fortnite OG. Moreover, you’ll have more chances to find one in high structures and buildings, like the ones in Tilted Towers.
Sadly, there’s no way to know for sure where to find one. However, the Grapple Glove isn’t a rare item, so you shouldn’t have any trouble getting one while searching chests on the map.
How to use Grapple Glove in Fortnite
The Fortnite Grapple Glove works very similarly to Spider-Man’s Web Shooters, and you can use it to swing through the air. This grants you a quick and fun way to travel across the map and get away from enemy players during battles.
Here’s how you can use it:
- Equip the Grapple Glove.
- Aim the Grapple Glove at a tree, structure, building, or another hard surface.
- Shoot the grappling hook at your target.
- Start swinging.

The Grapple Glove has 30 shots to help you travel long distances without touching the ground.
While swinging, you can aim the Grapple Glove to the next surface you want to reach to keep the momentum going. Each Grapple Glove has 30 shots, so keep that in mind when swinging around or escaping opponents. Once you land after a swing, there’ll be a small cooldown period until you can use the Grapple Glove again, so keep that in mind.
Each successive swing that you perform will let you move faster until you gain max speed at the third swing. You can use the Grapple Glove with other movement mechanics like sliding and mantling to your advantage in combat.
