Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 is set to be the final major update before Chapter 5 gets underway, but fans are wondering if Epic have one of the game’s signature live events planned to start the new season. Here’s everything we know about a Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 live event.
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 is taking players back to the OG map to relive some of the best moments in the battle royale’s history. Players are going back to iconic locations while they wait for weekly updates that will take them through some of Chapter 1’s seasons.
But players have one eye on what’s coming next, and Chapter 5 seems to be right around the corner. Teasers and leaks have hinted at a new map overhaul, so players are wondering if all of that is coming with a big live event.
Here’s everything we know so far about a possible live event to end Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 and begin Chapter 5.
Will Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG end with a live event?
Epic haven’t announced if there will be a live event to begin Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1, but leakers have claimed there will be one. Reliable leakers HYPEX and Shiina teased a “Big Bang” for the end of the Fortnite OG season in December.
Epic Games haven’t produced a live event since the end of Fortnite Chapter 3 back in December 2022, so it’s very likely they will end this successful year with a bang.
HYPEX claimed Chapter 5 Season 1 will kick off with a special event that dataminers have teased since September. Since Chapter 4 Season 5 will be much shorter than standard Fortnite seasons, players won’t have to wait much longer.
The leaker didn’t go into detail about what the live event could look like, but they teased that it has something to do with the Lobby and Extended Downtime, similar to Ch1SX. The first Fortnite Chapter infamously ended with the entire game being sucked into a black hole before going offline temporarily.
Next Fortnite Season (Season 5 / Chapter 1) is set to have an end event with a countdown starting on November 21st, and the Season itself is set to end on December 3rd ‼️

It’s worth keeping in mind, however, that this is all based on leaks and nothing has been confirmed. We’ll be sure to update this page with more details as soon as they’re announced.
