Fortnite OG, and Chapter 4 as a whole, are drawing to a close, after weeks of hopping through classic maps and bringing back iconic weapons. With the Battle Pass timer ticking down, fans are beginning to look ahead to what comes next and whether the season will end with one of the game’s signature live events.
Now, Epic Games have confirmed The Big Bang event that is set to end Chapter 4 and kickstart Fortnite Chapter 5.
Here’s how to watch The Big Bang event in Fortnite, including the date and time it goes live.
Fortnite The Big Bang live event date & time
Fortnite‘s The Big Bang live event will take place on Saturday, December 2, 2023, as confirmed by the devs. It will begin at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET / 7 PM GMT, but it’s unclear at the moment how long the finale will last and if it will be replayable after the initial run-through.
Past events like this one, including the infamous black hole, are often followed by an extended period of downtime where the servers are offline. With this in mind, those who miss The Big Bang might not be able to take part at a later date.
How to play Fortnite’s The Big Bang live event
Although nothing has been confirmed yet, we expect Fortnite’s The Big Bang live event to be accessed through a special playlist on the main menu. Based on how past live events have worked, players will be able to select this one-off game mode and load into it like a normal match.
The playlist will unlock shortly before the event kicks off, giving players time to assemble their friends and load into the lobby before the spectacle begins.
However, we’ll have to wait for an official announcement to know exactly how to take part in the event. We’ll be sure to update this section once Epic Games share more details.
What to expect in Fortnite’s The Big Bang live event: All leaks
While the devs have remained tight-lipped so far on what to expect from The Big Bang in Fortnite, leaks have revealed some of what might be in store for players. Insiders like Shiina and HYPEX have revealed that rapper Eminem will play a major role in the event.
According to their leaks, part of the finale will take players to a special concert held by Slim Shady himself, but this will reportedly only be a small part of what the devs have up their sleeves.
It’s also been hinted that a Lego crossover will be introduced during the finale, as well as two new modes; a racing mode inspired by Rocket League and a rhythm mode. It’s thought that players will get a small taste of these playlists during the event before they’re added as LTMs in Fortnite Chapter 5.
