Fortnite adds more Street Fighter skins with Sakura and Blanka

Fortnite continues its celebration of the 35th anniversary of Street Fighter with another iconic pairing.

Fortnite’s crossovers span from the far reaches of the Marvel universe to the back row seats of gaming history. Kratos, Master Chief, and even Naruto feature in the battle royale as skins for your character.

One of the oddest additions was Street Fighter, with legendary characters like Ryu and Chun-Li picking up guns to survive the player versus player onslaught. Fortnite eventually added other characters like Guile and Cammy and is now adding fan favourites Sakura and Blanka.

The set of skins coincides with Epic Games’ new tournament in Fortnite, aptly named the Sakura and Blanka Cup.

The default two skins aren’t the only ones, as each character comes with an alterative version, with Blanka in a surprisingly funny suit and Sakura in gym gear.

You’ll also get accessories that are themed around the two characters. Pickaxes used for melee combat or breaking down structures will have a fruit kebab or trophy as skins, while additional accessories include a Blanka-chan plush or arcade machine to attach to your characters.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Fortnite without a few dances. Buying the Blanka pack comes with his victory backflip from Street Fighter 2 and Sakura’s victory sway from Street Fighter Alpha 2 makes an appearance.

This isn’t the only major crossover that Street Fighter developers, Capcom, have made this year, as Magic: The Gathering had exclusive themed cards in their limited edition collection earlier this year.
