First & second-place duos banned for cheating in Fncs Week 1

Fortnite pros Kreo, Bucke, Slackes, and Keys have been banned for 60 days in the wake of a ‘teaming’ scandal in the FNCS Week 1 competition.

This past weekend brought us the first week of the Fortnite Champion Series for Chapter 2 Season 2. Some of the biggest names in the game competed to earn their spots in the grand finals of each region.

In NA East, the duos of Kreo and Bucke and Keys and Slackes placed first and second, respectively. When viewers went back and watched their VoDs, however, they noticed something fishy about the early engagements between the two teams.

This is clear collusion and against the Fortnite competitive rules on ‘teaming.’ Epic recently banned passive in-game collision with pickaxe swinging, so getting free storm surge tags is obviously ban-worthy as well.

The duos defended themselves on Twitter, with Bucke stating that he and Kreo usually bloom-battle opponents who land at Slurpy Swamp in scrims. The fact that neither team died during the…
