Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 is the least-mobile season since the first-ever Fortnite season. Ninja thinks that it’s time for a change.
Epic completely reset the loot pool for Fortnite Chapter 2, which was a welcome change for most players. Loot went a bit crazy over the first ten seasons, so a reset taking us into Chapter 2 was probably the best choice.
Unfortunately, this also meant that Launch Pads, land vehicles, Shockwaves, and all other forms of mobility were vaulted as well. Epic left us with boats, currents, and our own two feet to get around the large and hilly Chapter 2 map.
Ninja, one of the biggest names in Fortnite, thinks that it’s about time for Epic to add some mobility to the game. After four months of running around the map, Ninja thinks it’s time for a little assistance.
It’s interesting to see Ninja talk about Fortnite in this way. In the past, he’s been supportive of Epic’s move toward a simple loot pool. Like many, Ninja understood that Epic would eventually release mobility and inject new life into Fortnite Chapter 2.
Ninja and fellow streamer SypherPK discussed the topic during a match with Reverse2K in late December. Both agreed that Fortnite doesn’t need mobility right now and that resetting the mobility options was positive for the game.
This season is longer than any season in Fortnite history, though. We’re four months in and still, have a month left to go before Season 2 comes out. Running around the map is starting to get old at this point.
It’s understandable that Ninja changed his mind on this topic. More likely than not, he got stuck in a few storms and was wishing for a Quad…
