Players are reporting having trouble with V-Buck and bundle purchases from the Fortnite Store. Be aware that this bug may cause you to lose your purchases.
Fortnite is never completely bug-free. It was only a few days ago that Epic was sending out false ban warnings to players who spectated their friends in solo mode.
The newest bug might hit you in the pocket, however, as players are reporting having trouble with their Fortnite store purchases. Superbrainz13 posted a screenshot on the r/FortniteBR subreddit that showed an issue when he purchased the Darkfire Bundle.
Other players commented on the post, reporting similar issues and stating that they have been talking to Epic support – to no avail.
According to the reports, this bug is happening with both in-store and digital purchases. One player reported an issue with a V-Bucks card they bought at GameStop.
Epic has yet to publically respond to this issue as of this writing. We’ll update the post if they issue a statement.
Keep in mind, though, that the above-mentioned issue of the false ban warnings resulted in free V-Bucks for those who were affected – 1,000 to be exact.
If you have the money to spare, it might be worth making a purchase for the inevitable “make it good” move that Epic is sure to complete once they solve the problem.
If not, you should probably hold off on re-upping your V-Bucks until this issue is fixed.
