Your Guide to the Medal Punch Card in Fortnite

Are you wondering how to get the most XP in Fortnite Chapter 2? We will answer the question: how does the Medal Punch Card work in Fortnite?

Battle Pass progression feels a bit stunted with Fortnite Chapter 2. There aren’t any Battle Stars anymore, so you can’t guarantee a few free levels by completing a specific number of challenges.

Epic has added some more weekly challenges to Chapter 2, and don’t require us to go hunting for Battle Stars as much as they used to. Still, it can feel like more of a grind to rank up your Battle Pass.

One of the ways Epic padded the XP grind was to add the daily Medal Punch Card. This system was bugged for the first few days of Chapter 2, which led to some confusion as to how it works.

Thankfully, it’s back to normal, now. Still, progression through the Punch Card seems a bit random at times. It can sometimes be difficult to figure out what you need to do to complete your daily XP grind.

Bubbaganube on Reddit broke it down for everyone to make the Medal Punchcard easier to understand.

You will gain medals through teamwork, survival, kills, and looting. You will also get a medal for playing your first match of the day.

The threshold for chests and survival depends on the mode you play and can get new medals for playing new matches. If you play a few full games, you should complete your punchcard pretty quickly without trying.

XP can feel a bit hard to come by in Fortnite Chapter 2, so a guide like this really helps us understand one of the new mechanics.
